I have practiced cutting, digging, and (where suitable) leaving them be or utilizing #multiflorarose as a living and impenetrable fence a la @degraff.lisa . I practiced some loose experiments in 2019 to see if the legends of they-come-back-stronger-when-cut are true, and I may be a believer. Season of cutting surely factors into this, of course.
